Conspiracy theorists are the real optimists
It must be comforting to think that Bill Gates and Big Pharma are behind the COVID pandemic. It must be nice to think that the illuminati is controlling the world and pulling the strings. Having project managed some internal software projects, I know that it is almost impossible to manage everything to the T and more importantly keep things secret. All this while being obviously in charge with a transparent mandate!
If there are indeed shady actors controlling the world and keeping it in check, then I applaud them. But the truth is scarier. No one is controlling the world, it's rudderless...
